When did you come to know Jesus?
I was blessed by a family who loved the Lord, served faithfully and modeled an obedient commitment to Christ. I met Jesus at a young age, but had defining moments in my school years where in the hard of family circumstances, I experienced the faithfulness of God and a church whose people genuinely lived out true care, service and generosity. I saw my parents open up their home to small group, bible study, youth and missionaries and I relished the opportunity to meet varying people and hear how God was at work. I remember sitting on the stairs listening to prayers and knowing I wanted Jesus forever. The example of people in my life loving Jesus and loving me was very compelling. The evidence of the gospel lived out was active and attractive. Mentors and youth leaders along the way gave me opportunities to put my faith into practice and I look back with appreciation how the Lord provided sustaining strength and divine wisdom at His appointed time.
